JCRT is the kinship of culture and cloth, where subcultural codes meet sartorial craft through plaid. Founded in 2016 by CFDA designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra, the brand merges digital innovation with old-world tailoring, reimagining plaid. With over fifty years of experience, the duo learned couture techniques from their grandmothers, went on to win major awards, and collaborated with global brands like UNIQLO and artists from Björk to Nine Inch Nails. Each plaid is meticulously hand-drafted, digitally printed, and sustainably produced balancing analog precision with modern technology. Every shirt tells a story, allowing customers to wear their obsessions as an expression of individuality and cultural connection.
